Here are some highlights
• Started the day off writing and reading about spiritual warfare and the day really taught me some valuable lessons.
• Our Hotel was suppose to give us Disney tickets but some how there was some type of mix up so we had to pay half price for them.(which was still better than full price.
• Left around 10 in the morning to go to Disney we didn’t get there until 4pm.
• Truck went dead at traffic light down town Orlando got help from some GA folks got a jump went to Advance had everything checked out bought a jack because of Adventure part one and some new battery termanals the new terminals fixed the problem ( hopefully) we got to Disney finally at 4 pm and it was pouring down raining. But Jewel was already dressed up like a princess and we had already made the promise that she would get to see the castle so we weathered the storm and went anyway. Let me just tell you it was worth it! As we were coming in tons of
people were leaving which was to our benefit because the stormed passed and we were able to go
through the lines to all the rides without much wait and Jewel got to see her castle and I would have to say it was the best trip I have ever had to Disney! Here’s some
spiritual application Spiritual Warfare is real and sometime Satan attacks you and the storms of life rages on and it seems like life is just hopeless but if you weather the storm with Gods help he has got tons of joy just waiting around the corner. And as you stay faithful and stay the course God shows up and What seems like the worse day ever could easily turn into the best day you ever had! Trust God! Fight Satan! And don’t run from the storm just trust that God is going
to shield you and protect you and in the end when you do
that God will show up and show out in a very real way.

For our ministries to grow, we have to have more people coming in the front than we have leaving through the back.

It is commonly taught, if we aren’t growing, we’re either:

(1) not reaching new people, or

(2) not retaining those we have.

Another possibility that’s rarely mentioned is

(3) we’re not allowing people to gracefully exit our ministries.

Many teach… “Close the back door!”
I say… “Leave the back door cracked open!”

Occasionally, there are some church members who need to leave for the ministry to move forward.

These people might be miserable. Maybe they hate change. Perhaps they care more about their own needs than the needs of others.

If someone is directly opposed to the direction God is leading your church, we should do our best to lead them to embrace the vision. If you’ve tried and tried and continue to fail, you may need to gently, lovingly help them find another church.

Instead of closing the back door, leave it cracked open!

I just had a some thought about vision today that I really want to share. Every time a church cast vision it gives the opportunity for people to get on board or jump ship. I guess what I am saying is some will get jacked up and others will get ticked off. And it is always good for the growth of the church. Because the people that get jacked up get plugged in volunteer and give 110% and the people that get ticked find a church that better suit their vision or the vision they want to persue. Listen I’ll be the first to tell you our vision isn’t for everybody and I’m ok with that but don’t ever discredit it or talk down to it unless you want to tell God his vision is no good. Because at Cross View Vision is God given and we always pray that God will lead us to advance his vision. With that said Jesus at one point in time in his ministry said somethings that was hard for people to digest, “one must eat of my flesh and drink of my blood.” In John 6: 54 Man some people hit the road and stopped following Jesus because they didn’t buy into his vision. But the one’s that continued to follow with the power of the Holy Spirit brought about world change.

I knew that going on vacation with my parents would be an adventure but we are just getting started and I believe I’ve got enough sermon illustrations for a year! The Highlight of the trip so far has been the 4 am blow out! I will have to post the picture later but here’s the low down. I was driving along everyone was asleep but me and keep in mind we are pulling a trailor the trailor starts weaving and blam blam blam the tire starts flopping everywhere well that’s just the beginning. The jack my dad brought was not very good and it really took us getting inivative to get the tire changed. It was probably dangerous and required risk but if we were ever going to get where we needed to go than we had to take the steps to get back on the road! Well we finally got the truck off the ground using our spare tire and the trailer jack and God’s hand but it all came together. It did take us 2 hours but the job got done. Here are some spiritual applications. Sometimes life gets a little swearvey sometimes, it is more than we expect and may require extreme risk to advance and huge faith that God can and will come through. And last but not least it will be in His timing and not our own! I would have loved at 4 am for it to have only taken 15 minutes to change a tire. This is part 1 I’ll keep ya posted!

Man what a day at Cross View yesterday as I shared my heart, my passion for the unchurched and those that were far from God. If you missed it sorry but it was on fire. Here are a few moments from yesterday.
1. I shared my experience with the church and I really believe our people related to it.
2. I shared my passion to change the way that people see church.
3. I shared the vision that God set ablaze in my heart.
4. I share the mission that God has placed on us.
5. I shared the news of a promising prospect for youth pastor.
6. I shared that God willing we will be launching a campus in Cedartown next year. We will keep you posted so you can tell all your friends about it. It is going to be exciting as we advance God’s kingdom in the next few years. So keep your seat belt on and get ready to go!
7. I really believe the best part of the day was the volunteer appreciation BBQ. We got the opportunity to thank all those who serve in a huge way! Thanks to all that prepared food and came out to celebrate the people that work hard for Jesus!

Next Series SuperNatural we are going to be talking about what everybody talks about but nobody ever really see’s with he naked eye! Some of the topics, The Holy Spirit, Spiritural Warfare, Satan and his Demons, and last but not least Angels. You don’t want to miss this in depth series about the invisable.

The Series after that, “Get Fit” no we are not going to exercise during the service but, we are going to touch on some felt needs like getting fit financially, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Be their so that you can Get Fit!

The Series after that is “Crank it Up” as we rock out some 80’s rock and talk about how God wants us to turn up the volume together so that the world can hear His song!

The Series After that is “TXT” as we talk about the importance of Gods word, the history and the reliability.

This should have been part 1 but here it goes anyway! Some of you may be asking what is a bucket list? A Bucket list is a list of things that you want to accomplish before you kick the bucket! God’s word says that life here on earth is just like a vapor; it is here one minute and gone the next. So the question that I have for you is what are you investing your life in? Are you investing your life into material possesions, a career that will one day come to an end! Let me just tell you how I feel. I would rather live in a tee pee sleeping on dirt and dealing with sand flees than to live a life outside of God’s will or a self serving life. So with the days that you have left on this earth how are you investing in eternity? On Sunday June 29th come and here the Cross View Bucket List.

If you knew you had 30 days to live how would you live it? I’m sure you would pray more! Trust God more! Risk more! And believe God for more! What is crazy to me is we will put our faith and trust in Jesus for salvation for everlasting life but I find it amazing that I meet people sometimes that claim the name of Jesus but don’ t have faith that God can give them an abundant life now. What’s the deal? Here is my thoughts on it. I think we should live like it is our last month on Planet earth! I think we should live in a way that would inspire others to live life to the full with God!

So many people walk through life and look at it as just another day. Life becomes normal instead of extra ordinary. It seems just to pass by like the passing wind. You look back at your life and you wonder where the last 10 years of your life have gone because it has gone by so quickly. But we still live our lives like we just want to get by! I really believe that in God’s word when He says that we were made with a purpose that means our life is not meaningless but meaningful! So we need to live our lives like we mean it! We need to live our lives with purpose! We need to live our lives knowing that God left us has his disciples to charge ahead to make a difference in the world through his power and the Biblical mandate of the great commission. So the question I want to ask you is whose life are you touching? Who are you investing and spending time pouring into? Who are you mentoring? Because when you look back at Jesus He was always touching someone’s life and leading them to touch others lives and the legacy still lives on today! Thank you God for people that believe that they could make a difference with your power! Listen most of us have given our lives to Christ because someone decided they were going to touch the lives of others. Who will you touch this week?

I don’t even know how to begin this blog just thinking about the direction we are going as a church gets my heart beating fast with excitement. ” I call that being jacked up!” Some people get this feeling when they go down the first hill of a roller coaster. Some people get this feeling when you have had too much Starbucks or too many Monster drinks and some people get jacked up on Mountian Dew, but I get jacked up on the direction that God is taking us as a church. You want to be at church next Sunday as I fill you in on the direction we are headed as God leads us! And do me a favor, leave your box at home if your the type of person that likes to put God in one!
