Sunday Night Reflections

19 05 2008

As I look back over the day I only have one word to describe it. AWESOME!!!!

Our Volunteers as always were pumped up to serve a risen Lord.

The Band was Rocking and lifting up the name of Jesus. Ethan Purser is just getting better and better playing lead guitar and sounds great. It is awesome to see young men jumping in to lift up the name of Jesus with their gifts and talents.

I really felt like God used me to pour into our people. I just want to say thank you to God for pouring into me so I can be pour out. I really felt comfortable yesterday and I pray that the message spoke to you guys. The one part that really stuck out to me in my preparation time was  “when we walk around dead other people have to smell the death”. So I pray that it will speak to you as well because I think people will see you as someone that is alive instead of dead and you may have more people that want to be around you because you don’t stink. If you don’t know what I am talking about go to crossviewcc.com to the media tab and listen to this weeks message.

One of our prayer counselors has really been questioning her place of service until yesterday when she hugged a young girl as she cried her eyes out. Thank God for prayer councilors.

We had a great evening in the park! We had over 100 people show up and 4 bands made up of youth and college students. It was awesome to see the diversity and just really be involved in the community. It was a great opportunity to talk to some folks about church.

Thanks for all that helped prepare food for the park.

Oh yeah last but not least attendance on Sunday was 257. Aren’t you glad somebody invited you! So I pray this week that you will invest and invite someone to experience what you have experienced.

The sermon Sunday was so inspirational that I felt I had to be closer to God. I am truly glad to be a part of a church where people feel they can worship and pray together. The spirit of The Lord was in our church Sunday and He was filling Danny and Danny was letting it be known. I was reminded of the incence in the temple of the old testiment. We are to be a sweet aroma to God,not a decaying smell,or as Danny said “it stinkith” .I want to be that sweet smell to god and to all who are neer me–do you ?
